Ministry of Social Rights and Welfare of the Principality of Asturias
Project Description
The Ministry of Social Rights and Welfare of the Principality of Asturias needed to improve the visibility and accessibility of its web portal to better reach citizens. We conducted a comprehensive quality audit that identified significant opportunities for improvement in SEO and user experience. The project included an exhaustive technical audit that analyzed multiple aspects of the portal: content structure, information architecture, performance, accessibility, and SEO positioning. We identified critical areas for improvement and developed a prioritized action plan. We implemented strategic SEO recommendations that transformed the portal's visibility in search engines. We optimized URL structure, improved meta tags and titles, implemented schema.org for structured markup, and created a more efficient internal linking strategy. We significantly improved portal indexing, ensuring that the most important content was correctly crawled and indexed by search engines. This included creating dynamic sitemaps and optimizing navigation structure. In addition to the technical work, we provided specialized training to the Ministry's team on SEO best practices and web content management. This training allowed the team to continuously maintain and improve the portal's positioning. The results were exceptional: the portal experienced a 300% increase in CTR (Click-Through Rate) in search results, indicating a significant improvement in the relevance and appeal of results. Organic traffic increased notably, allowing more citizens to access the Ministry's information and services. The project not only improved the numbers but also improved the portal's accessibility and usability, meeting the transparency and public service objectives of the Asturian administration.
