Junior Java/Liferay Developer (REF005)

Requirements

Minimum requirements:

• 6 months of work experience in a similar role (must be demonstrable) + Higher education diploma in computer science

or

• 2 years of work experience in a similar role (must be demonstrable) + No formal education

Essential:

• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Javascript
• Experience in web development with a Java application server (Tomcat, Wildfly, etc.)
• Ability to understand any documentation written in English

Desirable:

• Basic knowledge of Docker
• Experience in Liferay
• Knowledge of Technical SEO
• Knowledge of web accessibility
• Development experience in agile methodologies

Official certifications in the following will be highly valued:

• Java 21 (or higher)
• Liferay Backend 7.x

Additional experience will also be valued:

• Experience in React development
• Experience in developing and using REST/SOAP web services
• Experience in integrations with virtual headquarters / digital certificates / electronic signatures

Job Description

We are looking for someone capable of working independently and managing their own time.

• Up to €3,500 in variable salary + guarantee of base salary increase based on goal achievement

• 12 annual payments. We are studying the possibility of offering 52 annual payments (with monthly payroll) in 2024.

• Annual working hours of 1,800 hours. The daily work schedule is flexible, with only 50% of the time having fixed hours. Normally from 9 AM to 1 PM with a brief daily meeting at 10 AM. The fixed hours may occasionally change depending on the needs of the rest of the team.

• The workday can be intensive in the mornings, although occasionally, it may be necessary to work some afternoons to align with the rest of the team.

• The workweek is Monday to Friday, but a day off can be taken if the working hours are compensated.

• Vacation according to the agreement (23 days). Vacations are provisionally set to start on January 1st.

• Annual salary review.

• The company covers training expenses (as long as they apply to skills needed for the job).

• The company covers remote work expenses:

  • Latest-generation Apple laptop registered to the company.

  • €35/month for quality internet connection expenses.
